PRINCIPAL / OWNER

Dana’s passion for helping children learn and acquiring new skills has been the driving force in making Manor Montessori School the success that it is today. At a young age, Dana taught children how to ski and soon realized her love for children. After completing her undergrad, Dana enrolled at the AMI Foundation for Montessori Training. It was here that she met her future business partner, co-founder and lifelong friend Janet Miklas.

Janet and Dana started Manor Montessori School in Sept 1994. Dana taught in the Casa classroom for 10 years, while completing her Masters of Education. As the school grew, she took on a more, big picture role, as the owner and Principal.

Dana remains as passionate today as she was 29 years ago and can still frequently be found observing, guiding, mentoring and supporting children and teachers in the classrooms.

DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS

Louise is passionate about Montessori education and trained in Business Administration, making her a great fit for leading up the Admissions at Manor Montessori. Louise has been with Manor Montessori for over 24 years, including spending 5 years teaching in Casa classrooms. She is also NAMC qualified in The Theory and Practice of the Montessori Method of Education.

In addition to being an integral member of the Manor Montessori team, Louise is also a mom to two sons who attended Manor Montessori in the Casa and Elementary programs.

Louise feels privileged to work, on a day to day basis, with the children, families and staff at Manor Montessori School.

ADMINISTRATOR

Dorothy (Dot) came to Manor Montessori in 2021 after a diverse working life as a lawyer, film script editor, marketing assistant, book editor and mother to two children. She loves working at Manor and brings her varied skills and enthusiasm to her job as Administrator for the North campus.
